Course Objective

By this course it is aimed to gain the students information about morphology, biology, physiology, genetics, biochemistry, basic anesthesia and surgical rules, necropsy and animal disposal rules of rabbit.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand general characteristics of rabbit
2   To be able to assimilate basic information about breeding and breeding techniques, nutrition and housing of rabbit
3   To be able to use this information that assimilated in planning and practicing basic researches
4   To be able to understand how to use gained information to reach new information sources
5   To be able to perceive anesthesia and surgical practices within basic laboratory principles
6   To be able to express the information gained clearly in scientific environment.
7   To be able to use his/her basic knowledge and skills in different laboratory animal facilities
8   To be able to integrate occupational ethics concept with this course
