Course Objective

The aim of this course is to understand the factors which contribute to carcinogenesis by viral, chemical and physical carcinogenic agents and concepts, mechanisms, and to provide information on the steps of the formation of cancer.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Capable of understanding the molecular biological features and characterization of viral, physical and chemical agents effective in development of cancer etiology.
2   Be able to explain viral agents that are effective in the etiology of cancer and to explain the relationship between the development of cancer.
3   Be able to explain chemical agents that are effective in the etiology of cancer and to explain the relationship between the development of cancer.
4   Be able to explain physical agents that are effective in the etiology of cancer and to explain the relationship between the development of cancer.
5   Be able to explain environmental factors that are effective in the etiology of cancer and to explain the relationship between the development of cancer.
6   Be able to understand the molecular mechanisms and agents effective in cancer etiology.
