Course Objective

The aim of this course is to understand the effective in the etiology of cancer and carcinogenesis / can be viral, chemical, and physical agents and mutagenic effects of mutagenic testing methods to understand the mechanisms and roles.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Capable of understanding mutagenity concepts in carcinogenesis.
2   Be able to explain and learn the mutagenic effects of chemical agents that are effective in cancer development and to its role in the development of cancer.
3   Be able to know bacterial revers mutation test, mammalian chromosome aberration test, mammalian erythrocyte micronucleus tests to explain the working mechanisms
4   Be able to know and learn role of Mikronucleasyon in vitro test, the three-dimensional to know and learn about the role of genotoxic test and comet assay in mutagenesis.
5   Be able to understand to practice and learn new mutagenicity appplications Role in cancer research.

Assessment Criteria

Learning outcomes will be assessed with classical questions of final exams. Mutagenicity test applications on a special assignment will be enhanced by special types of cancers.
