Course Objective

Acquire the basic knowledge about audiological instuments and hearing amplification systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Able to describe six basic steps used in the hearing aid selection and fitting process.
2   Able to explain the functions of the basic components of digital hearing aids.
3   Know and differentiate the basic hearing aid styles.
4   Describe the basic earmold styles and their function.
5   Describe the design and function of a cochlear implant
6   Describe the basic instrumentation of audiological test devices.
