Course Objective

This course aims to enable the students to gain basic/advance knowledge , skills and concepts about pediatric surgical nursing , teaching preoperative preparation,care and postoperative care,management of postoperative complications ,skills about planning,practicing,assesment in line nursing process.

1   The ability to identify concepts about pediatric surgical nursing
2   The ability to evaluate concepts about pediatric surgical nursing
3   The ability to plan nursing care of newborns and children that will undergo surgery
4   The ability to use nursing care knowlege and skills on children incase of surgery
5   The ability to determine the edicational requirements of families and child with a age-specific and holistic approach
6   The ability to give educations in line with child and family necessities
7   The ability to use evidence based practice in pediatric surgical clinics and to increase the quality of care
8   The ability to follow social,cultural,technological developments about pediatric surgical nursing
