Course Objective

This lesson aims to help students understand women s health nursing; examine the roles and responsibilities of women s health nurses in the world and in Turkey.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To explain the information in the field of women s health nursing
2   To array the CS/US problems in the world and Turkey.
3   To explain reproduction health and sexual health and analyse factors affecting them.
4   To be aware of pregnancy birth physiology, to determine the needs of mother in postpartum period, and to plan and to practice the appropriate nursing interferences.
5   To realise the changing situations in pregnancy, birth and postpartum period, and to plan and practice appropriate nursing interferences.
6   To use research results to develop nursing care.
7   To evaluate the environment where care is provided critically and to present written reports
8   To analyse the clinical practices and present written reports at a critical level.

7 Birth giving approaches, situation analysis in our country
8 Perinatology and Perinatal Nursing
9 To examine diagnosis test guidelines used in Perinatal period
10 Risky situations and nursing management in pregnancy
11 Risky situations and nursing management during giving birth process
12 Postpartum and new-born risky situations and nursing management
