Course Objective

The objective of the course is to gain advanced knowledge and experience in techniques, effects and evidence based applications of low, middle and high frequency currents, ESWT, complex treatments, ES, FES and other elelctrophysical modalitiesused in physiotherapy application.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows heating agents, mechanisms of action, indications and contraindications.
2   Knows and applies evidence-based heating agents.
3   Knows the mechanisms of action of electrotherapy modilities and uses them.
4   Konws the indications and contraindications of electrotherapy modilities and decides the treatment program.
5   Knows and applies evidence based electrotherapy modilities.
