Course Objective

The objective of this course is to present; necessity of regional development; relationships between regional development and natural geographical locations, rural-urban, socio cultural and economical activities, agricultural reform and land use planning; development approaches; and applications from the World and Turkey.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to analyze the development within regional scope.
2   To be able to establish relationship between regional development and natural geographical locations, rural-urban, socio cultural and economical activities ( rural-urban integration).
3   To be able to make comparisons by knowing examples in the World and Turkey of regional development.
4   To be able to analyze regional development in the World and Turkey within the scope of theories, approaches, policy, plans, regional features and innovations.
5   To be able to question relationships between regional development and agricultural reform and land use planning.
6   Relationships between regional development and national development.
