Course Objective

To investigate selected issues and trends in mathematics education in relation with teacher education, students difficulties, learning and teaching methods.

1   Knowing trends in mathematics education.
2   To be able to explain researches related to effective factors related to mathematics teacher education.
3   To be able to explain researches related to subject matter knowledge in mathematics education.
4   To be able to explain researches related to pedagogical content knowledge in mathematics education.
5   Knowing the researches related to students difficulties in mathematics education.
