Course Objective

The aim of this course is to look through relations among history, history teaching, historical consciousness and identity and study relation between history and identity construction from modernity till today.

1   to explain history and identity concepts and relations between them
2   to analyze usage of history as construction means of a national identity
3   to comment on relations of globalization, identity and historical consciousness
4   to define a problem related to identity and history education
5   to analyze a problem related to identity and history education
