Course Objective

The aim of this course; To explain the basic concepts of the drawing, to define the academic drawing, to use materials such as charcoal, pastel, drawing pen, indigo ink and scanning tip, from animate and inanimate models, to abstract and concrete studies, research and sketch studies, the basics of the pattern such as ratio-proportion, light-shadow to develop visual and sensory perception about phenomena or problematics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Makes long-term (3-4 hours intensive) work for an academic quality drawing,
2   2. Makes a part-whole analysis about anatomical and structural features,
3   3. Gain the experience of figure or object view from different perspectives,
4   4. Draws instant or short-term sketches,
5   5. Illustrates images, movements and situations with main lines.
