Course Objective

To understand the importance of integrated coastal zone management.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Acquiring a broad perspective and multidisciplinary knowledge in order to promote the integrated management of coastal areas, against a framework in which the integrated management of coastal areas is led on a regional basis
2   Acquiring specialized knowledge in fields of personal interest related to coastal issues
3   Communication skills for the building of consensus and resolution of conflicts among stakeholders
4   Acquiring field (project) management skills for planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
5   Evaluation of coastal area management in sustainable ecology perspective
