Course Objective

To provide the learners with the basic knowledge about the recent developments in maritime transport and international business practices through multidisciplinary view including macro/micro external environments likely to affect international business and maritime transport activities; to equip them with competencies enabling to develop hypotheses about the problems given and develop effective solutions; and to raise awareness about the relevant social/cultural/ethical values.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to use scientific research methods effectively while analyzing the macro external environments likely to affect international business and maritime transport
2   Ability to analyze the recent developments in the micro environment likely to affect business management
3   Ability to display competences in changing approaches so as to reach global targets in international business management.
4   Ability to take needed measures in customs and packaging activities, taking into account the recent developments in these fields.
5   Ability to supervise and make necessary changes in infra and super structure, complying with the safe transport principles in maritime transport.
