Course Objective

to make sure that students of German Translation and Interpreting Master program do a literature review collecting information about the current Professional matters and synthesize the collected data, write a report based on it and present it in the class allowing class discussion.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to do a detailed literature review on topics in their own research and on the current development in the field of Translation and Interpreting.
2   Being able to synthesize the data collected, to analyze them with the support of qualitative and quantitative data, to interpret and assess them
3   Being able to write a scientific report out of the obtained results.
4   Being able to transfer those results to the groups both in the field of the Translation and Interpreting and outside of the field systematically in written, oral and visual forms.

Students skills to do a literature review related to their subject matter, collecting data, compiling and analyzing them and to write a report based on the results will be assessed through the report they prepare in the end of the semester and the presentation of the report.
