Course Objective

In the field of international trade law, the states aim to establish the unification of the rules of substantive law. The UNIDROIT Principles was one one of the sources of law which was created for using in the international trade. The purpose of this course is to introduce the UNIDROIT principles and provide information on the implementation of these principles to international commercial contracts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to gain information about establishing the unification of the rules of substantive law in the field of international trade law,
2   to introduce the the UNIDROIT principles,
3   to determine the national legislation and the international conventions about determining the law applicable to international commercial contracts,
4   to provide information on the implementation of the UNIDROIT principles of international commercial contracts,
5   to provide information about the role of the UNIDROIT Principles in arbitration.
