Course Objective

It is targeted to learn the content and purposes of rules related to the ending of an employment contract by analyzing its concepts and regulations in a systematical method. In this manner, students may develop views and solutions on the application of the related norms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to determine the content of legislation related to the ending of an employment contract and its international sources
2   To be able to explain the functions of rules related to the ending of an employment contract
3   To be able to connect the rules related to the ending of an employment contract with present cases
4   To be able to examine current applications concerning the ending of an employment contract and judicial decisions in particular
5   To be able to evaluate new proposals with current regulations
6   To be able to reach a synthesis of norms regarding the ending of an employment contract related with each other

10 The concept of valid cause and its types
11 Consequences of the termination with valid cause
12 Lawsuit for reinstatement
13 Termination for just cause by the worker
14 Termination for just cause by the employer
