Course Objective

To transfer supervisor s knowledge and experiences to students in relevant fields of interest and acquire students scientific ethics, research discipline with the ability to follow, evaluate and discuss recent literature and new developments.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to interpret, develop and use the knowledge acquired in the field.
2   To have the need for knowledge and to be able to reach knowledge that he/she is looking for.
3   To be able to synthesise, analyze and interpretthe knowledge related to project subject.
4   To be able to consider the scientific and ethical values in gathering, evaluating, publishing data related to project subject.
5   To be able to fictionalise, develop, apply a method in problem solving and evaluate its results.
6   To be able to solve the problems experienced in project implementations by using research methods, bringing new approaches and taking responsibility.
7   To be able to express written, oral and visual the recent developments regarding the project subject and his/her own works.

Assessment Criteria

The ability of students to follow, evaulate and discuss the recent literature and new developments regarding their own research area is measured by the project that the students prepare.
In assignments/presentations
1. the scope and depth of literature
2. to be able to model the methods: the preparation phase of assignment and presentation
3. professional and ethical responsibility
4. attention and honesty in citing a reference and consistency with scientific principles are seeked for.
