Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge regarding monetary and fiscal policies implemented by member states and their institutions within the European integration process.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand the European economical integration, institutional framework and its functioning,
2   To understand the theoretical substructure of monetary and fiscal policies which are the two basic starting point for economical integration and common market,
3   To have extensive knowledge about the institutions and organizations which directs the monetary and fiscal policy implementations,
4   Be able to evaluate the relationship between the common currency Euro, its function and with respect to other monetary systems,
5   To have extensive knowledge about European budget, tax applications, tax expenditures and loan in scope of fiscal policies and to have ability of detecting problems and improvement of solving capacity,
6   To be able to evaluate the economic and fiscal relations between European countries and other countries in scope of monetary and fiscal policies and institutions.
