Course Objective

The aim is to make the student equipped with giving information about phases and repertory of Baroque and Classical eras orchestras.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explaining and knowing of the knowlegde and analysing of Baroque and Classical Eras,
2   Being capable of making formal explanations about Baroque and Classical Eras works which composed for orchestra,
3   Identifing the Baroque and Classical eras composers and their masterpieces,
4   Discussing the basic knowledge about Baroque and Classical eras orchestra s formal and techinical improvement,
5   Writing the findings as a report by researching Baroque and Classical Eras orchestral structure,

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

First the instructor informs the students about main topics of Baroque-Classical Eras music streams and research techniques. Then the instructor introduces written, visual and audiotory materials about the music streams. Last, the students make a presantation on a selected music stream.
It consists of the written works about music streams which selected by the instructor and the student.

Exam;
Written Exam is intented to measure the students knowledge,ability and skills which stated in program outcomes.
Project;
The student s project which selected by the instructor is important for the success of the student. When the student makes the presentation, the content and its transfer method, spelling rules etc. will taken under review.

2. Not participating to the class will not accepted as an excuse if project s deadline is over.
3. It will not assessed if the student can t complete the Project on time.
