Course Objective

The aim of the lesson is to be able to understand the basic information about the art currents such as Minimalism, Postmodernism, Jazz and Electronic Music. And let them gain the experience of explaining practising methods of these cureent to all of the other arts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will be able to identify the basic knowledges about Minimalism, Postmodernism, Jazz and Electronic Music and explain the differences among them.
2   Will be able to explain formal and harmonic structures of the works which have been composed in the styles of Minimalism, Postmodernism, Jazz and Electronic Music.
3   Will be able to identify the Minimalist, Post-modern, jazz and electronic music composer and their important works.
4   Will be able to discuss the basic approaches which are related to the positions of political, socio-economic and historical currents of Minimalism, Postmodernism, Jazz and Electronic Music
5   Will be able to write a report with the information he has found by researching how to use it in any art current in all arts.
