Course Objective

The aim of the lesson is to be able to understand the basic music styles and the tecniques about the new music, let hem gain the experience of explaining using methods of special effects on the piano and harp, and identify the master-pieces in the New Music repertoire by associating with their composers

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will be able to articulate the fundamental concepts of 20th. Century Music and define the emerging musical styles with examples from the repertoire
2   Will be able to classify composers, including those of the New Music repertoire, by recognizing their major works
3   Will be able to associate the major chamber and symphonic works in which the piano and harp are used with special effects with their composers
4   Will be able to analyze the major works in the New Music repertoire through theoretical and practical means
5   Will be able to Express the conclusions reached through research on the Works and composer of the New Music repertoire in written form
