1   Defines the concepts of life 2   Outlines molecular evolution and the evolution of living systems 3   Describes the molecular structure and organization of cells (prokaryote and eukaryote) 4   Explains the processes of genetic information transfer and its control 5   Outlines basic metabolic and energetic processes 6   Defines the concept of signal transduction; lists control mechanisms and pathologies caused by irregularities 7   Recites the mechanisms of cell cycle and cell death, defines the pathologies caused by irregularities 8   Describes cell-cell and cell-environment interactions and can outline the pathologies caused by irregularities 9   Outlines molecular and cellular mechanisms important for life and development of organisms Recognizes basic molecular and cellular mechanisms related to diseases
