Course Objective

To examine the 18th, 19th .and 20th century s. German Lied and French melody in the relationship of text and diction and to be acquainted with these periods and to interpret the pieces in style

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can have a knowledge about the German and French song repertoire of different periods in advanced level.
2   Can develope the ability of learning the interpretation of german and french song repertoire in advanced level.
3   Can develope the ability of singing tecnique of the song repertoire in advanced level.
4   Can strength his/her knowledge about the german and french diction in advanced level.
5   Can gain the ability of performing the song repertoire

There will be 2 examinations during the semester. Students will get the %100 of success from these exams and from the translations of the texts which belong to the songs.

Assessment Criteria

Students are expected to show a technical and interpretational performance of the songs which are studied in advanced level.
