Course Objective

Aim of the course is to produce interrogative and challenging works, based on a solid conceptual background and the aid of shocking and provocative presentation. According to their own point of viewsand rules, students transfers their perceptions to the world of design. Students creates visual plays within the defined concepts to atract audience and make them question the concept and then find the answer.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will be able to present new suggestions about visual thinking
2   Will be able to communicate with the contemporary arts.
3   Will be able to know the inter disiplinary applications of the graphic design in life.
4   Will be able to think, produce and experience limitless options for different orientations.
5   Will be able to look from a different perspective to typography and images to give new meanings and perspectives.
6   Will be able to use different materials for project model to present creatively.
7   Will be able to use their conceptual and practical graphic design knowledge.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Meeting stage and introduction. Brief examination of experimental design from past to today. Instructions about how to choose and research topics. Explanations about how to apply researches into practice and continuity of design process.
2 Giving directions to the students one by one about how to build project concept. Defining the research paper topics and discussion with the students to assign their choices.
3 Suggestions for project draft. Critique of research paper.

7 Research paper submission

9 Developing sketches into comps
