Course Objective

Objectives of this course are to provide an understanding of reproduction biology of flowerless plants. Bryophtes and pteridophytes are typical two groups of flowerless plants. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to reproduction biology of these groups.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To explain the basic concepts of embriology.
2   To understand and explain the different types of alternation of generations.
3   To understand the reproductive biology of bryophyte samples
4   To learn about the biological reproduction of ferns
5   To illustrate the alternation of generations of typical vascular plants
