Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the students to recognize the basic actors,
concepts and stages of cultural heritage management, to implement the including methods
of it, to develop a convenient management process for the historical environments and
also to gain ability to control and update of the management processes.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will be able to define cultural heritage management process as a specialized and interdisciplinary process (knowledge)
2   Will be able to distinguish the basic actor, concept and stages of the cultural heritage management process (comprehension)
3   Will be able to implement the including methods of cultural heritage management process (application)
4   Will be able to discuss the applications of cultural heritage management process (analysis)
5   Will be able to propose a appropriate management process for the historical environments (evaluation)
6   Will be able to control the cultural heritage management process (evaluation)

This course will be given through lectures. Students will learn topics by attending
and listening to the lectures and also by prepearing and presenting the assignments
that will be given to them.

Assessment Criteria

Defining (Knowledge) and Distinguishing (Comprehension) and Implicating (Application)
will be measured by Midterm Examination
and Discussion (Analysis) Discussing and Choosing (Evaluation) will be measured by
Assignment.

Midterm and final exam assignments can be independent or related to each other. Midterm and final exams will be made in the form of a homework and presentation which are on a field study or a conceptual research.
