Course Objective

This course aims at defining research and analysis, presenting research theories, research concepts and operations, getting to comprehend planning research methods, interpreting the data and data presentation, analysing the relationships between land use analysis and planning, proposing an integrated analysis and revising the actual research phase of Turkish planning system .

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, students, will be able to define research and analysis (knowledge)
2   will be able to list different research theories and concepts (Knowledge),
3   will be able to describe planning research methods (Comprehension),
4   will be able to interprete the data (Application),
5   will be able to relate planning to land use analysis (Analysis).
6   will be able to propose a new (normative) integrated analysis (Synthesis),
7   will be able to revise the actual research pratice (Evaluation).

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course will be given through lectures. Students will learn topics by attending and listening the lectures. Homeworks will be given to students in 7th Week and they will be asked to prepare their homeworks on the subjects given to them.
