Course Objective

The nanocatalysts are one of the important aspects in the nano-science and nano-technology. The course objectives are:
- to have knowledge about recent developments and new applications of wastewater treatment with nanocatalytic processes
- to learn the nanocatalyst preparation/synthesis methods and their effects, new applications related to nanocatalytic treatment processes
- to find out the fields where nanoscience and nanotechnology intersect with industrial wastewater treatment, chemistry and materials science successfully

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To obtain information about the nanocatalytic processes used for the treatment of industrial pollutants
2   To have knowledge about nanomaterials used in industrial wastewater treatment and new developments in nanocatalytic processes
3   To learn how to use the knowledge about nanotechnology and nanotechnology to solve problems encountered in the treatment of industrial wastewater
4   To prepare a presentation about nanocatalytic processes for the treatment of industrial wastewater

This course will be given by visual expression, discussion and presentation applications. Homework problems will be assigned.

The performance evaluations of the students will be performed by taking the mid-terms, final exam and term paper presentations based on the learning outcomes (LO1. LO2, LO3, LO4).
