Course Objective

Biotechnology is critical to many different industries,including the health sciences and agriculture and the food and beverage industry uses applied microbial biotechnology in many products.Microorganisms have been used in the biotechnology due to they grow up in short time and fastly. Therefore microorganisms are manipulated for production of antibiotic, interferon,insulin,yogurt and cheese.The course aims to provide an introduction to microbial biotechnology,metabolism in microorganism,microbial growth,and secondary metabolite production from microorganisms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Realize microorganisms and classification of this,
2   Comprehend the metabolism of microorganisms,
3   Study growth conditions and importance of microorganisms,
4   Realize which biotechnological metabolite from microorganisms in what conditions,
5   Realize biology techniques of molecules to be used in microorganisms.
