Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to teach to the students how they can manage, analyze and use multi-data using GIS approaches. Geographical or spatial data are defined as undigested, unorganized and unevaluated material that can be associated with a location. In this context, students will learn by this course when data are organized, presented, analyzed, interpreted and considered useful for a particular decision problem, they become information.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students who succeeded in this course will be able to identify various data types and formats and how data is collected
2   The students who succeeded in this course will be able to learn how to use a quantitative data analysis software tool
3   The students who succeeded in this course will be able to use different multicriteria decision making methods
4   The students who succeeded in this course will be able to structure and model decision making problems
5   The students who succeeded in this course will be able to solve real world problems having conflicting criteria.
6   The students who succeeded in this course will be to improve the quality of the decisions they make in managerial and personal decisions
