Course Objective

Turkey is located on highly active earthquake zone. The significant part of the casualties occurs because of unconsciously attempts after an earthquake. The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to post-earthquake fire and precautions to be taken during a fire. Thus, firefighting against hazard-based fire and rescue services are the major part of the disaster management. Moreover, university students will be taught about a post-earthquake fire, precautions against it, and safety of life and property during a fire.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Post-earthquake fire.
2   Classification of fire types and principles of fire extinguishment.
3   Firefighting and rescue.
4   Having the ability to contribute to the spread of four earthquake awareness in society,
5   Scientific studies that can minimize the impact of a possible earthquake relevant organizations to share information and to have this work,
