Course Objective

Teaching new and emerging management techniques in engineering world to students with theoretical and practical applications. In this course new approaches, techniques and practices of engineering management will be introduced. Techniques such as six-sigma, benchmarking, activity based management-costing, balanced scorecard, strategic management, road mapping, technology forecasting, TRIZ, team management etc. will be studied along with case studies and projects.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   This course is expected to help the student to learn basic principles of modern engineering management methods.
2   To enable students to apply modern engineering management techniques.
