Course Objective

The course aims to provide information on the role of geothermal springs and thermal tourism in health tourism, current situation of thermal tourism in Turkey, and on social and economic value of thermal tourism both in Turkey and in the rest of the world.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   As a result of interactive debates on geothermal springs and thermalism and their role in health tourism during the lectures, the students can have an opportunity to understand the role and significance of thermal tourism in health tourism by examining the subject quantitatively from managerial and marketing perspectives,
2   To gain statistical results to evaluate geothermal spring potential of Turkey, Turkey s thermal tourism potential and developments in other countries.
