Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach the fundemental physical, chemical and biological processes on wastewater treatment and waste handling in the content of environmental engineering.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning the major physical, chemical and biological processes in environmental engineering
2   Learning the fundemental laws of mass conservation in environmetal systems
3   Learning the fundementals of mass transfer between the environmental matrices, such as water, air and soil
4   Learning the major wastewater pollutants and their treatment processes
5   Learning the nutrient cycles in the nature
