Course Objective

This course focuses on study of housing policy and its implementation. The effects of different housing policies on urban housing supply and the effects on the social and physical form of the cities will be handled and discussed. The emphasis will be on the Turkish experience.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, students, will be able to explain the objectives of different housing policies,
2   will be able to interpret the housing policies applied in Turkey,
3   will be able to interpret the spatial reflections of policies,
4   will be able to analyze the success of the practice,
5   will be able to propose a comprehensive housing policy framework.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course will be given through lectures. Students will learn topics by attending and listening the lectures. Homeworks will be given to students in 2nd Week and they will be asked to prepare their homeworks on the subjects given to them.
