Course Objective

To recognize of the systematic groups in Mollusca phylum, the diversity of Mediterranean Polyplacophora species and improve information on the morphological, ecological and systematic characteristics of these species.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehend the systematic groups in Mollusca phylum.
2   Comprehend the biological characteristics of Polyplacophorans.
3   Comprehend the anatomical features of species in different taxonomic groups of Polyplacophorans.
4   Understand the morphological features and structures of species in different taxonomic groups of Polyplacophorans.
5   Remove and examine the shells from mantle by using different methods.
6   Comprehend the relationship between Polyplacophoran species and their ecological characteristics of the environment they live in.
