Course Objective

Identification the species belonging to the class of Gastropoda, distinguish similarities and differences of them, knowledge taxonomical, morphological and ecological features of these species.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain general biological characteristics of marine Gastropods
2   Comprehend the anatomical features used to classify the species belonging to Gastropoda
3   Understand the morphological characteristics and structure of Gastropod species in different taxonomic groups by using various methods
4   Understand significant features in the structure of gastropods and notice the differences by comparing, when it is needed
5   Explain the effects of the ecologic environment on the gastropods development
6   Have an idea about marine biological richness of our country

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The lesson is taught on a base of lecture, homework presentation and discussion. Investigation some Gastropod species in laboratory and drawing their shells. Preparing on homework presentations by accessing information from different sources.
