Course Objective

This course is focused on genetic structures of marine prokaryotes and molecular methods used in the genetic analysis, understanding the mechanisms of which lives in extreme conditions and new genetic resources derived from marine environments

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have knowlege of general properties of marine prokaryotic diversity
2   To understand the genome and prokaryotic chromosome, plasmids and biologic importance of plasmids
3   To learn the molecular methods for investigation of marine procaryotic genomes
4   To have knowlege of the metagenomics of complex microbial community
5   To learn the genetics of marine extremophiles
