Course Objective

Teaching the relationship between coal properties and coal usage, teaching the the aims and processes of combustion, gasification and coking technology, a brief introduction of other coal evaluation methods.


Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Interpret the usage of coal from its properties
2   Defining the coal combustion and analysing the coal properties and coal combustion conditions
3   Defining the coal carbonization and with classifying the carbonization methods, analyse the coal properties with related to the carbonization
4   Defining the coal gasification and analysing the gasification process for the industrial aims.
5   Learning the other coal chemical utilization processes, to analyse the characteristics of coal for industrial appliations.
