Course Objective

This course aims to introduce guidelines and procedures for estimating bus and rail transit capacities. It is planned to give information on basic capacity concepts and principles; summarize previous studies and current experience; develop analytical relationships; present capacity guidelines and set forth illustrative applications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To examine transit capacity concepts with details.
2   To edit literature data concerning transit capacity.
3   To analyze vehicle capacity and loading criteria with advance in technology
4   To illustrate person capacity, bus capacity and rail system capacity.
5   To investigate methods and procedures related to transit capacity.
