Course Objective

The course aims to define the traditional material use in historical buildings, and traditional structural systems in historical buildings. The general evaluations of buildings and its environs will be discussed; investigation and documentation; historical researches; environmental researches; analyzing of data; evaluations on environmental, functional, legal, architectural aspects will be taught. The material use and structural system alternatives will be defined.

4   Definition of material use and selection of structural systems in restoration works
