Course Objective

Geohazards are nothing more than natural processes. they become hazards only when people live or work in area where these processes occur naturally. The naturalness of these
hazards is a philosophical barried that encounter when we try to minimize their adverse effects. It is the enviromental geologist's job minimize their adverse effects. It is the
enviromental and maket this information available to planners and decision makers so that they can formulate various alternatives to avoid or minimaze the threat to human life
or property.
