Course Objective

Types of CaCO3 and hard rock end products, main production lines of slab and tile, sealer lines, antiquating and mosaic products, product estimation machines, CNCs, production techniques, consumables and their properties, quality control, storage, utilization water refining systems and reuse of wastes.

1 Types of marble end products Classification of production lines, general information. Properties of factory construction and general facility planning.
2 Tile line machines and marble production. S/Ts, their types and properties. Strip production. Properties of circular saw and its usage.
3 Cross- cutting machines, properties, usage. Splitting machines, properties, usage. Introduction of polishing units.
4 Calibrators, properties, usage. Polishing group, properties, usage.
5 I. Written Exam
6 Horizontal cutting machines, properties, usage. Vertical cutting machines, properties, usage. Side calibrating machines, properties, usage. Side chamfering machines, properties, usage. Chamfering machines, properties, usage.
7 Tile line product quality control, properties. Quality control desks. Packaging and crating.
8 Tile line machines and marble production. Gang saws; types and properties., Tile production. Blade properties, usage.
9 Bridge saws, properties, usage. Band polishing machines, properties, usage. Band polishing machines compared to polishing machines. Arranging abrasive series. Tile quality control and crating.
10 Sealants, types, purposes. Sealants and their prescriptions. Sealant machines, properties, usage. Product- sealant relation. Quality control of products with sealant.
11 Antiquating and its purposes. Antiquating machines, properties, usage. Mosaic production and design. Product estimation techniques. Bordure machines, properties, usage. CNC machines, properties, design, usage. Other machines, properties, purposes, usage.
