Course Objective |
In this course public management perspective will be introduced with GIS. GIS is a necessary tool for large scale planning. For that reason public organizations need to use GIS for many of their planning and management activities. Including, forest management, mining management, agricultural planning, disaster management, crisis planning. Internet based mapping is also one of the important subject for many public organization, for providing map based information to public, sharing map-based data with other organizations and providing map-based query for decision making process. GIS is and important decision support tool for urban and rural management. |
