Course Objective |
The course aims to provide knowledge about determination of degradation of textile materials because of the molecular structure, process conditions, storing and usage and quantitative methods of assessing degradation. This course also aims to determine the damages in the process conditions in any steps of the production from fiber to garment. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
This course includes theoretical lessons and laboratory practices. Laboratory practices include the determination of the mechanical or chemical degradation of textile materials, degrading the textile material in different chemical, mechanical and UV conditions and to characterize the degradation of the fibers. |
