Course Objective

This course is to give detailed information related to Marshall and Superpave mix design methods and provide some knowledge of the anticipated differences in the design of asphalt content between the two major compaction processes evaluated.

2   To illustrate a method for each project
3   To investigate mix designs with advance in technology.
4   To choose available materials and equipments for mix design.
5   To edit the literature data concerning the use of mix design.

4 Asphalt specifications Penetration Test, Ductility Test, Softening Point Test, Loss on Heating Test, Flash and Fire Point Test, Spot Test, Solubility Test, Specific Gravity.
