Course Objective

The objective of the course is to provide the necessary knowledge for the geometric design of airfield, planning of airports, Heliports, STOL ports and Vertiports. Also in this course it is aimed to give detailed information on structural design of airport pavements and airport marking, lightning and signing.

1   To investigate airport design processes with details
2   To choose available materials and equipments for airport design.
3   To edit the literature data concerning the airport designs.
4   To investigate visual approach aids together with the design.
5   To illustrate a method for each project
