Course Objective

This course aims firstly- to inroduce CE students to Acoustics and Audio analyzing. Students will be driven into a thorough overview of linear system theory and introducing the necessary mathematical concepts will be in the beginning. Meanwhile in this Course primary MATLAB digital processing tools will be thought and how to employ them in the commonest audio processing subjects will be explained. Course will check students making use of this knowledge in their specific term projects.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to be able tp Understand of basics of Acoustics and audio processing.
2   to be able to Understand of linear system theory as a tool to analyze acoustic objects hence modeling them for computer usage.
3   to be able to use MATLAB digital processing tools
4   to be able to make computer based acoustics analyses and reporting them
5   to be able to take part in interdisciplinary projects with audio/music science teams
