Course Objective

To teach principles of very large scale integration (VLSI), starting from semiconductor physics up to analog and digital VLSI design.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to comprehend semiconductor physics.
2   To be able to understand physical operation of electronic devices.
3   To be able to learn VLSI processing and layout.
4   To be able to design VLSI circuits with hardware description languages
5   To be able to design digital VLSI circuits, e.g. inverters.
