Course Objective

This course aims to introduce the concepts, main design principles and methods of energy and flow analysis in buildings that could be applied in architectural design.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To recognise the main principles of energy and flow analysis in buildings.
2   To define a building energy problem.
3   To evaluate the dependencies of a simulation.
4   To debate the outputs of a simulation.
5   To discuss challenges, limitations, and opportunities of current analysis methods.
